rutera is a mobile app for rideshare and delivery drivers who work with Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash. It was built by an active full time gig driver in Dallas, Texas with over 10,000 completed trips who got frustrated with paying for multiple apps that each did only one thing.

The name "rutera" comes from the Spanish word for "route." The app is available in English, Turkish, and Spanish.

What Does rutera Do?

rutera solves three problems that every gig driver faces, in a single app.

1. Real Time Offer Analysis

When an Uber, Lyft, or DoorDash offer appears on your screen, rutera reads it instantly and shows you the real numbers: per mile rate, estimated hourly earnings, and a clear recommendation to accept or decline. You set your own minimum thresholds. Green means the offer meets your standards. Red means skip it and wait for something better.

This happens automatically with no input from you. The analysis overlay appears on top of the offer within seconds, giving you the information you need before the timer runs out.

2. GPS Mileage Tracking

rutera tracks every mile you drive using GPS. It runs in the background while you work, logging your route, distance, start and end addresses, and timestamps. The app separates Work miles from Personal miles so you only claim what is deductible.

At tax time, rutera generates IRS compliant PDF reports that include everything your accountant needs: dates, distances, addresses, and vehicle odometer records. No manual logging, no spreadsheets, no guessing how many miles you drove last Tuesday.

3. Daily Cost and Profit Tracking

Most drivers know their gross earnings. Very few know their actual profit. rutera lets you enter your real vehicle costs: car payment, insurance, gas, maintenance, phone bill. The app calculates your daily cost of driving and shows you your true profit after expenses.

When you see that your gross $200 day was actually a $130 profit day, it changes how you think about which offers to accept and how many hours to drive.

How Is rutera Different from Other Apps?

Most gig driver apps do one thing. Stride tracks mileage. GigU analyzes offers. Gridwise tracks earnings. If you want all three, you need three apps running simultaneously, draining your battery and costing $15 to $25 per month combined.

rutera combines all three into one app for $5.99 per month with a 7 day free trial.

The other major difference is privacy. rutera stores all data locally on your device. There are no servers, no cloud uploads, no account creation, no advertising, and no data sharing with third parties. When you uninstall rutera, your data is gone forever. No other gig driver app can make this claim.

Who Built rutera?

rutera was created by a full time gig driver in Dallas, Texas who has completed over 10,000 trips across Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, GrubHub, and Roadie. The app was born out of personal frustration: existing tools were either too expensive, missing features, inaccurate in their calculations, or collecting driver data for their own profit.

rutera is published by Tech Drops TX, operated by Yilmaz Family LLC. The developer is still actively driving every day and using rutera on every shift.

How to Get Started

rutera is available on Android through Google Play. iOS is planned but not available yet. Download it from Google Play, follow the 2 minute setup wizard, and start your 7 day free trial.
